Because everyone hates having to scroll through a long story before they get to the part we all reallly care about, I’m going to keep this quick.
We have a large family and I am all about packing as little as possible with as much convience as possible. Here are some products I recommend for your next adventure.
Portable Door Lock
If safety is your concern this is an cheap and easy option to add to your bag. It quickly installs in your hotel, Air BNB, or cruise room door. If you’re like us and have toddlers that love to touch and play with everything this can come in handy as an extra protectiong for them. A few of our children are wanderers so I love having this as a piece of mind.
Travel Car Seat
Traveling with a full sized car seat can be overwhelming and annoying to say the least. A travel car seat was a savior for us once our toddlers were the right size. They are easy to pack in your carry on, or the diaper bag, and such quick installation in that Uber or taxi.
Neck Fan
These became a staple of our packing list when traveling during the pandemic. Disney in a mask on a hot day was much more attractive than without a neck fan. Most options you do need to make sure you charge the battery each night. I’m going to share a bladeless and bladed option. We started with the bladded but after losing a few mask loops to the blades the bladeless was appealing.
White Nose Machine
We have a white nose machine in every bedroom and we all have slept so much better since. On vacation hotel rooms can be loud, folks going to bed way after you? Wanna take a mid-day nap? When we go on the road we use a combination of free apps on our phones but because we’re a large family we need more options. Sometimes we also enjoy the sound from a white noise machine better than what comes out of our phones.
Microfiber Travel Towel
Personally we started using these towels for the summer pool days. I was tired of taking multiple towels to the pools that just came home sooping wet. By the end of the day no one could get truly dry unless we wanted to take even more towels. Slowly we switched to these microfiber towels. They are light weight, easy to pack, and dry quickly. For the most part they are also easier on the budget.
Travel Vaccum Storage Bags
Like I said I want to travel light as possible with as much convience as possible. As a family of 7 I can pack up for a week vacation in three suitcases. A large, medium, and a small suitcase. Then everyone carries their own backpack which is full of a jacket, entertainment items, and snacks. Vaccum storage bags helps keep our clothing contained and organized. I can go all into my packing system in another post.
